another option in lieu of a filter is: http://www.covenanteyes.com/
It's not a filter (it can be one if you choose) but rates all the sites you go to and sends the list to an 'accountability partner'. Your accountability partner will also be notified if you install it. It's like having your friend in the room with you all the time.
Thanks Franklin-
I cannont stress that sermon enough it was what set me in the right direction
I would add 2 more that really helped me. First, pray a rosary every day. Thinking of the blessed virgin is the ultimate anti-lust. It gets you thinking of women in all the right ways.
Secondly, read theology of the body. Awesome stuff. There was one comment about the Mt 5:29 "if you look lustfully at a women you have already committed adultery in your heart". He said that the command is salvific in the sense that Jesus never demands we do something unless He is going to give us the grace to succeed. So the command become a promise. This is what you will be like when I sanctify you. Don't you dare settle for anything less.
Patrick Carnes has several excellent books on getting help for sexual addiction. Most are available through your library. He gets to the root of the issue, which is vital.
Thanks! Here's another list of resources the church can use to battle pornography:
